DeeDee is originally from New Hampshire where she began her dance training at age two. When she was seven she started dancing competitively at a regional and national level. She and her team were very successful and recognized many times for their technique and talent and brought home many trophies and awards. She has trained in ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern, contemporary, tap and jazz.
Her love and passion for dance continued to grow when she was accepted into the Roger Williams University Dance and Performance Studies program. While at RWU DeeDee had the privilege of working with many talented and successful choreographers such as David Dorfman, Sean Curran, Cathy Nicoli, Jim Coleman, Terese Freedman, DeAnna Pellecchia, Kelli Wicke Davis and many others. During her four years at RWU she performed student, faculty, and guest artists work each semester in the Roger Williams Dance Theatre. Some work was also chosen to be performed at the American College Dance Festival which she attended and trained at for one week each year.
After graduating with a BA in Dance and Performance Studies in 2008 DeeDee moved to Boston and has been sharing her love for dance through teaching students of all ages and levels. She feels lucky to be able to continue to do what she loves and share her knowledge and passion with her students each day.
